WHAT OLD RECORDS ARE WORTH MONEY

I get a lot of calls daily where people will say I have seen my Beatles album on Ebay for £100-00 and I want to sell so can you help me. In response to this I have to ask a number of questions including

• How old is it?
• What condition is it in?
• Do you have the original cover?
• Is it a UK version?

You can also imagine that until I see the record in reality it is hard to ascertain exactly what the value of any record might be with counterfeits and even foreign editions can be worth nothing more than a place mat.

So what old records are worth money and how do you tell whether you have that record? The sun put together a piece on the most expensive records sold on ebay back in 2018 and the list included –

·       Fleetwood Mac Rumours – £1,520

·       Kate Bush The Sensual World – £1,036

·       David Bowie The Next Day – £2,050

Not every record will sell for £2050-00 and in most cases these were special editions or something was very special about the record to attract these phenomenal prices.
